Our Day at Sitopia Farm with Davines!

By Rae + Tom

A few weeks ago, we had the absolute pleasure of being invited by our incredible product partners Davines, to spend the day at Sitopia Farm - a beautiful regenerative farm tucked away on the outskirts of London.

This wasn’t just any day out in nature. It was a truly immersive experience, designed to educate and inspire salon owners on regenerative agriculture, soil health, and the amazing work Davines are doing to support a more sustainable future for both beauty and the planet.

We started the morning with a warm welcome (and a cuppa, of course!) whilst connecting with other like-minded Davines salon owners. The energy was amazing, passionate, kind, and deeply rooted in a shared love for the planet.

We were then treated to an eye-opening talk on regenerative farming by Holly Whitelaw from Regenerative Food & Farming. Her passion for the underground ecosystem of soil microbes and fungi networks, and the role healthy soil plays in climate resilience was electric. It gave us a whole new appreciation for the living world beneath our feet.

Next up, we heard from Dr. Simon Jackson, Davines' Head of Botanical Research. What this man doesn’t know about plants isn’t worth knowing. His insight into the botanical science behind Davines products made us fall in love with our product range even more deeply knowing the research, intention, and nature-first approach that goes into each formula.

But the true highlight of the day was getting our hands dirty with no-dig farming 🌱

Led by Sitopia’s brilliant Chief Grower, Chloe Dunnett, we rolled up our sleeves and learned the core principles of no-dig agriculture: creating growing beds using cardboard, layering with woodchip mulch, and allowing nature to do the rest. It was practical, grounding, and incredibly satisfying to be part of a farming method that works in harmony with the soil, rather than disrupting it.

We rounded off the experience with a delicious, seasonal farm-grown lunch - everything we ate was grown right there!, and plenty of cuteness factor with some furry and feathery friends. From friendly baby goats to curious lambs, chatty pigs, and even a pony called Bob, it was animal heaven, especially for Rae!

The whole day was sunny, soulful, and incredibly humbling. It reminded us that beauty truly begins in the ground, and we’re so proud to partner with a brand like Davines that’s not just making beautiful products, but doing so with deep respect for people and the planet.

A huge thank you to the Davines team for creating such an inspiring experience and giving us a chance to learn, connect, and grow literally and figuratively!

With love,

Rae + Tom 🌿
